The Real Dracula
Even though Vlad Tepes was seen as a sadist, some sought him as a hero. Today, Vlad Tepes is still remembered in many countries, mainly known as Dracula. In the village of Aref, near the fortress at Poenari, the locals portray him as a hero and a friend to the people. Both sources from professor Dr. Elizabeth Miller, historian Radu Florescu and Raymond McNally believe that Vlad left an everlasting legacy around the world. Not only do people praise the fact that they continue to be independent from Turkey. But on worldwide basis, people continue to see him as the infamous Dracula novel and movie.
